Consultation:

This is a preliminary appointment that involves significant education and assessment of the appropriateness of the surgery in your particular situation. There is some initial testing, but this does not require the removal of your contact lenses. In the majority of cases, a very accurate determination of candidacy can be achieved in this one-hour visit.

Comprehensive Medical Evaluation:

This appointment involves extensive testing and completion of the education process begun in the Consultation. This appointment requires the removal of your contact lenses as described in this section in the Q&A section of this site. This appointment will last approximately one and one half hours.

Consultation/Comprehensive Medical Evaluation:

The two appointments above can be combined into one two-hour session if you desire to streamline the process-provided you have followed the discontinuation of contact lens wear guidelines.
