This holiday season, Hale Vision Laser and Implant Center is making it easier for patients to participate in the spirit of giving – while getting a little something back in return.
The “Give a Gift. Get a Gift.” campaign is simple. Any patient who brings in an unwrapped present for the Toys for Tots Foundation will receive $100 off their iLasik procedure. Toys for Tots is a program ran by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them presents for the holidays. The program was founded in 1947.
While Hale Vision has always offered discounts for military personnel, this is the office’s first year partnering with Tots for Tots to offer this donation opportunity for patients. Staff ignited the program with hopes of adding to the office’s holiday cheer, which always promises decorations, festive music, hot drinks and sometimes cookies for patients.
Hale Vision clients are already taking advantage of the Toys for Tots donation. Some have brought in multiple new toys, including Spider-Man action figures, LEGOS, board games and cars.
“It’s fun running a campaign like this,” said Patty McStrack, patient relations coordinator. “It puts smiles on everybody’s faces.”
McStrack said Toys for Tots’ outstanding reputation made it a worthy candidate for this year’s charitable partner. Hale Vision has historically sponsored the annual VisionWalk, which raise money to fund sight-saving research.
But with a large number of Hale Vision office workers having kids of their own, or becoming grandparents, McStrack said a child-centered foundation was the perfect fit this year.
To be eligible for the Toys for Tots campaign discount, toys must be donated by December 15, 2014 and surgeries must be performed by December 31, 2014. Toys for Tots requires that companies bring toys to its donation center by December 18. Help us meet the deadline this year with your new, unwrapped contribution!
The $100 discount can be used toward $50 per eye and with other discounts. Contact Hale Vision at 262-789-9029 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for questions.
